Hi there, I am sitting at the University of Buea's campus and pondering how I can compose clear, mistake-free writing or write my research without so many grammatical errors and avoid plagiarism. While thinking, a coursemate walks up to me and finds me deep in my thoughts. She tabs me on my back, and I marveled at her presence, as I did not hear anyone approaching me. She asked me what I was thinking of? I told her my worries about composing an article free of grammatical errors.

She gazed at me with a smile and told me that was nothing, and then she asked me if I had ever heard of the editing tool called “Grammarly,” and I said no. She sat down with me and gradually gave me the following information about this great tool which can be used by students, secretaries, bloggers, etc., to aid them in composing error-free documents.

What is Grammarly

Grammarly is an online application that automatically detects potential grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice, and style mistakes in writing. Grammarly's algorithms discover potential issues in the text and suggest context-specific corrections for grammar, spelling, wordiness, style, punctuation, and plagiarism. Grammarly simply helps you create your documents or articles with ease.

How does it work

It is available through a browser extension for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Grammarly also has a file extension for Microsoft office. Once installed, it integrates into the browser and Microsoft Office apps by running checks on your document for grammatical errors, which then provides you with the corrections and explanations for the revisions.

While you write on Gmail, Twitter, LinkedIn, and all your other favorite sites, Grammarly runs grammar, spelling, word choice, etc., to assist you in getting your writing upright.
